Fight Club is a 1999 American film directed by David Fincher from a screenplay by Jim Uhls. Based on the 1996 novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk, it stars Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, Helena Bonham Carter, Meat Loaf Aday, and Jared Leto. In the film, an unnamed narrator (Norton) discontented with his white-collar job forms a "fight club" with soap salesman Tyler Durden (Pitt), and also becomes embroiled with an impoverished but beguiling woman, Marla Singer.
